The Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association is pleased to announce Cathy George, Michigan State University Head Women’s Volleyball Coach and Mark Rosen, University of Michigan Head Women’s Volleyball Coach as the keynote presenters at this summer’s annual coach’s clinic.

Coach George in just her eighth season at Michigan State has returned the Spartan program to elite status in the Big Ten Conference.  She has established herself as one of the more well-respected coaches in the nation and ranks 36^th among active coaches for total wins in NCAA Division I volleyball with 464 victories. In addition, Coach George ranks among the top 80 coaches all-time with a career .595 winning percentage. 

Coach Rosen in his 14^th season has firmly established the Wolverines in the national spotlight by guiding the team to its first Elite Eight appearance in school history in 2009.  The longest tenured coach in program history, his .611 winning percentage at Michigan ranks first among the program’s head coaches.  He is only one of two current Big Ten head coaches to guide his team to the NCAA Tournament in 10 of the last 12 seasons, with the Wolverine’s advancing to the second round or better in seven of those ten trips.

In addition to Coach George, Coach Rosen and their respective staffs the clinic will feature other professionals and coaches including:  Stephan Florio (IPFW), Becky Schmidt (Hope), Al Edwards (UofM Dearborn), Karen Grove (Concordia) and Tim Koth (Northwood).  The clinic is highlighted by the MIVCA MIZUNO All Star matches on Friday evening.

CLINIC REGISTRATION
• $100.00 postmarked July 1 or before.
• $115.00 postmarked after July 1 or at-the-door registrations.
• MIVCA Membership is available for an additional $35.00 or MIVCA Group Membership can be purchased for $50.00 (Up to 10 coaches from same school system).
• AVCA Membership is available for an additional $55.00 for high school coaches and $40.00 for Middle School Coaches.
• Michigan High School Coaches Association membership can be added for $5.00.

OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
The headquarters for the clinic is the McCamly Plaza Hotel, BattleCreek.  CLINIC HIGHLIGHTS
• Competition: The clinic will feature the Mizuno-M.I.V.C.A Senior All Star Matches on Friday evening.
• Awards Luncheon: Friday’s luncheon will honor; MIVCA Hall of Fame inductees, MIVCA Special Recognition recipients, and the Senior All Star participants.
• Volleyball Rules Meeting: Gina Mazzolini from the MHSAA will conduct a volleyball pre-season rules meeting for the convenience of the membership attending the 2012 clinic.
• MIVCA General Meeting/Breakfast: Breakfast will be the “fi rst serve” for Saturday’s events followed by the annual meeting. Current and important topics facing all Michigan Coaches will be discussed and voted on.

2012 MIVCA CLINIC SCHEDULE
